This course will provide an introduction to event marketing and will include but not be limited to how to formulate a business plan, marketing plan and publicity campaign, and the benefits of event sponsorship.
This course will take a look at financial planning for events and the importance of cash flow when managing events. It will include but not be limited to how to develop a financial plan for an event, a look at financial terminology and how to set ticket prices and explore strategies for increasing ticket sales to improve cash flow.
This course will provide an overview of the legal and ethical responsibilities of event managers and facility owners, and will include but not be limited to how to reduce risk and liability at events through systems analysis, plans and control, the purpose of a contract and the licenses and permits required to run an event.
This course will provide an introduction to all aspects of staging an event, including but not limited to the way in which facilities and services are managed during the delivery of an event, how to compile relevant documents for the staging of an event, the process of choosing a venue and the benefits of hiring catering, performers and hospitality services for an event.
This course will provide an introduction to the components of post-event activities, including but not limited to the importance of post-event evaluation, how to create an evaluation report and how to measure the success of an event.
