This course will provide an introduction to SEO (search engine optimisation), a combination of strategies, techniques and tactics webmasters use to increase the number of organic visitors to a website. It will include but not be limited to the purpose and functions of search engine optimisation, the three areas that need to be addressed to ensure effective search engine optimisation and how a business can improve visibility, traffic and popularity in search engines.

This course will take a look at some of the more effective applications that are currently being used in social media, and will include but not be limited to the purpose of social media, how social media is used in everyday activities and how to develop a social media strategy and principles of that strategy.

This course will take a look at different ways to determine an appropriate online presence for the marketing of a product or service, including but not limited to methods to improve internet sales, how to set up an online store and how demographics and promotions can influence internet advertising.

This course will provide an overview of why content is a vital component for your website to keep it ‘alive’ and how to develop a content strategy and plan that meets business objectives.
