Why we put things off

Procrastination is not laziness. It is usually about friction. Tasks feel too big, the goal feels far away, or you hit a problem and confidence dips. The fix is to make the next step tiny, timed and clear.

Avoiding a task

Do the hardest or most annoying task first while your energy is fresh. If you are stuck, message your course tutor. A five minute nudge can save hours.

Schedule time for study

Create a simple study calendar with two or three blocks each week. Treat it like a class you would not skip. Tell family or housemates when you will be studying so they can help you protect that time.

Reduce distraction

Put your phone in another room. Close every tab that is not part of the task. Set a reward you will enjoy after one focused block. Example. Three tasks, then check messages.

Plan a simple study block

Write one focus task and a tiny first step. Set your target minutes and generate a one block plan you can follow now.

Need a hand

If you are stuck, ask. Your tutor team is here to help you get unstuck fast so you can keep moving. Small questions save time.
